\n\u2022\tThe Application Designer is responsible for the overall Design, Development, Testing, Debugging, Warranty Support and build of the custom elements of the solution.
\n\u2022\tWork closely with Onshore SME\/Application Designer in solution designing and providing technical oversight to developers for delivering the complete solution for the customer.
\n\u2022\tIdeally has exposure to design and development of user interfaces in Java as well as experience within financial services organizations
\n\u2022\tAdvocate the best practices to ensure delivery of robust applications that follow architectural processes and direction.
\n\u2022\tParticipates and shares Functional\/Technical knowledge with the rest of the team and able to communicate architectural solutions effectively to the team.
\n\u2022\tUnderstand the requirements for new project initiatives, medium to high complexity enhancements, participate in design and complete the development and unit testing.
\n\u2022\tEnsure that new systems are built in a way that best ensures that functional requirements are met whilst also ensure that service qualities (Performance, scalability, extensibility etc) for now and for the future are achievable.
\n\u2022\tReview and improve on existing systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies to seek continual improvement for existing systems.
\n\u2022\tProvides solutions to technical issues, and are responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements.
\n\u2022\t Anticipates design risks and implements mitigation strategies
\nRequirements:
\n\u2022\t3-5 years of experience in design and development of complex systems based on J2EE framework.
\n\u2022\tStrong communication with both technical and business teams
\n\u2022\tShould have extremely good knowledge on SDLC processes
\n\u2022\tShould possess sound knowledge on IT Application architecture, Design methodologies
\n\u2022\tExpertise in development \/ design of medium to large web based applications (middleware) using one or more of development technologies such as J2EE, Spring, Hibernate\/ JPA, MQ, XML, XSLT, Web Services, Javascript , SQL Server
\n\u2022\tHands on experience in Tomcat and Weblogic \/Websphere servers, Eclipse IDE
\n\u2022\tExperience on JUNIT and build tools like ANT, Maven
\n\u2022\tGood to have knowledge\/ experience on Oracle & ETL tools, Enterprise Service Bus
\n\u2022\tShould have good grip on non-functional areas like performance, scalability studies, human interaction, software ergonomics
\n\u2022\tTechnological evangelization, sharp sense of communication
\n\u2022\tCritical reasoning skills, Decision making skills
\n\u2022\tVery high commitment levels and willing to work in any shift timings.
\n\u2022\tInterface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments
\n\u2022\tKnowledge of the financial and insurance industries in particular Group Insurance would be an asset.
\n\u2022\tKnowledge of the financial and insurance industries
\n\u2022\tLOMA certifications.
