Electrical Control Design Engineer
Our Client is an engineering company specializing in the design and manufacturing of medium- to large-scale industrial equipment incorporating electrical systems.
Their engineers directly design electrical control systems—including control panels, PLC systems, sensors, and operator interfaces—tailored to each equipment application. Engineers are expected to understand the characteristics and limitations of vendor products and lead customization, technical reviews, testing, and troubleshooting.
While their primary applications are in marine equipment, the core competencies required are essentially the same as those used in general industrial machinery, land-based plants, and factory facilities.
– Design electrical control systems including MCC panels, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
– Design and program PLC control logic (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
– Select and review specifications for pump motors, solenoid valves, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
– Apply sensors, limit switches, encoders, and pressure sensors, and design operator panels/HMIs
– Design safety interlocks, emergency stop (E-stop), and protection circuits
– Coordinate technically with electrical component vendors and define detailed specifications
– Conduct equipment testing and on-site troubleshooting while collaborating with hydraulic engineers and the Singapore headquarters

– Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical control system design
– Experience in PLC logic design and programming
– Ability to prepare electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
– Experience in control panel design and technical coordination with electrical component vendors
– Experience with electrical control systems for hydraulically driven equipment (highly preferred)
– Experience in land-based plants or factory facilities
– Understanding of hydraulic systems, strong troubleshooting skills, project leadership experience, and willingness to travel
– Marine or shipbuilding experience is not required
– English proficiency is optional, and candidates must be able to work in Vietnamese
Benefit
– Basic salary: 38,000,000 – 58,000,000 VND (negotiable depending on experience);
– Fixed allowance: 2,000,000 VND;
