According to the latest labor market news, employment activities in the first nine months of 2023, which was reported by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, have continued to recover. As a result, the recruitment demand is still higher than the number of workers who lost their jobs.

To be specific, employed staff nationwide reached 51.2 million people, an increase of 776,000 people over the same period last year. Among that, the urban area has 19 million people, an increase of 321,600 people over the same period last year; And rural areas have 32.2 million people, an increase of 454,300 people.

Employed workers in terms of economic sectors.

The demand for labor recruitment of businesses in the first months of 2023 is still higher than the number of unemployed workers. Along with that, the number of newly established enterprises is also superior to the number of businesses quitting the market, thereby contributing to creating many jobs for workers.

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the city’s socio-economic situation recently continues to maintain growth momentum. Agricultural and forestry production, trade, and service activities are not only vibrant, but also recover quickly in all sectors, thereby attracting foreign investment with positive signs. Thanks to this trend, the labor market continues to have positive signs.

Enterprises promote production and business activities

Since the last two months of the year are the time of festivals and holidays, businesses step up production and business activities to keep up with orders, leaving a positive impact on recruitment trends, especially part-time positions.

Besides industry and manufacturing, other fields such as construction, finance, banking, and offices also tend to increase hiring rates. In the field of information technology, in particular, recruitment demand continues to escalate.
