Project Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas Transportation and Installation Project
Prepare technical tender documents (study tender documents to develop appropriate construction methods and prepare project implementation plans and objectives; perform quantity take-off based on tender documents and selected construction methods).
Develop technical tender/request-for-quotation documents based on customer requirements and applicable domestic and international standards and regulations.
Prepare preliminary drawings and construction methods for packages related to offshore structure installation.
Develop technical requirements/specifications for the rental/purchase of equipment and procurement service packages, and evaluate relevant technical requirements.
Monitor project progress and coordinate activities among relevant departments (logistics, marine, fabrication and construction) to maintain progress and propose solutions in case of delays.
Monitor and manage changes in the project scope of work as well as related impacts on project costs.
Process and distribute information; coordinate work among project management teams/members and relevant parties such as customers, subcontractors, suppliers, independent inspection parties, etc. to ensure that project activities are carried out in a focused and continuous manner and in accordance with the schedule.
Prepare or review and control calculation documents and project construction procedures, including drawings.
Supervise and handle work related to the transportation and load-out of structures at the construction yard.
Work directly on drilling/production platforms and offshore construction vessels to supervise offshore installation activities at the field.
Organize regular project meetings as well as other specialized meetings when necessary in accordance with project requirements.
Prepare and review reports, official correspondence and documents related to the project implementation process.
Required skills
Gender: Male, in good health. Preference will be given to male candidates under 30 years old.
University graduate or higher, majoring in engineering or construction. Preference will be given to engineers majoring in offshore construction at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
Experience: At least 02 years of experience in a position specializing in project coordination/on-site supervision in the oil and gas industry. Fresh graduates will be trained (graduates majoring in Offshore Construction Engineering will have an advantage).
English: Good listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Computer skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and office software programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, MS PowerPoint). Preference will be given to candidates who know how to use related specialized software such as SACS, OFFPIPE, MOSES, ORCAFLEX.
Knowledge of API, DNV and Noble Denton technical standards related to the work.
Experience in preparing or reviewing and controlling calculation documents and project construction procedures, including drawings.
Experience in supervising and handling work related to the transportation and load-out of structures at the construction yard.
