Job Description

• Establishing policies that promote the company culture, vision and strategy.
• Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
• Directly oversee the daily operations of the company with responsibility for the management of all departments. Analysing internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement and controlling company costs.
• Implement and drive Key Performance Indicators across business operations. Knowledgeable in the manufacturing operations and the needs and capabilities of each department, designing, improving and implementing business operations.
• Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting. Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance, dedication and retention. Providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to develop staff.
• Assist the company in fundraising ventures in conjunction with the CFO.
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors, ensuring quality customer experience.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports for the Board, CEO (as applicable) and the Central Senior Management Team. Including evaluating the performance of each department in a company, including whether they met production goals and budgets control financial policies and procedures.

Required skills

• Leadership: candidate must have excellent leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team • Strategy: Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development. Candidates must excel at strategic thinking, be open to new perspectives and better ways to do things; and be creative, a visionary, and manage innovation well. • Experience: COO candidates must have experience in the manufacturing industry and quality control management (preferably in the food technology sector). In-depth knowledge of different business functions such as HR, Finance, Engineering, marketing etc. • Completion-oriented: A COO must be results-driven, with a project management focus. • Understands finance: COO candidate must have a track record of successful financial management. • Decision-making skills: must have superior decision-making skills. • Communication: candidate must possess executive-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders, and have proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict. The successful applicant for the TFC COO role must be a strong leader with the ability to manage upper management employees and provide direction for workers at all levels. The position also requires strong decision-making and problem-solving skills as well as time management skills to monitor and evaluate the performance of multiple departments. The candidate must have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.
